A tertiary hydrogen is a hydrogen bonded to a tertiary carbon atom. For 3-isopropyl-2,5-dimethylhexane... I believe there are 4 tertiary hydrogen atoms because there are four tertiary carbon atoms (carbons with three bonds), each with one hydrogen atom branching off of it.
