I HAVE A VIRUS ON MY LAPTOP!! help!?

I got on my computer this morning after my friend (who is a guy), left my house from a 3 night stay cause he got kicked out.

well there was a bunch of porn on my limewire and now my computer is all slow and skippy.

my friend james checked out my computer and he said i have the "trojan horse" virus and he doesn know how to get rid of it

help!!!!!

Yikes, my computer a few months ago had ten trojan horse viruses.
Porn websites ALWAYS give your computer viruses because the site will say that in order to view a video or picture, you have to download something, which, of course, is the virus.
Limewire is always notorious for viruses, and it's illegal, so I recommend getting rid of that. make sure you burn all your songs on a CD though. ;D
Go to a computer technician to get it revved back up, but don't do the geek squad though if you want to keep it cheap. [they are 239 bucks an hour].
Once you get your laptop fixed, I recommend a program called AVG 7.5. it's a virus protection program, and it is AMAZING. Hope this helps!! :]

The first thing you need to do is remove the porn from your machine i.e. delete it. Secondly, I recommend going to www.download.com and downloading two programs Spyware Doctor Starter Edition and SuperAntispyware Free Edition. Install and update both of these programs then run full/complete scans with both. Next do a free online malware scan and removal @ Trend Micro Housecall. This will complete rid your pc of this malware.

is free , yes is a trial , after that you need to get the a new KEY. in order to extent you trial , but after that automatically The Avast will be yours. After you get that KEY


When you will get the new KEY it would ask you to Ge Avast 2 , Just click where said new KEY that's all.

OK for someone who has done this several times its easy for them. But for a new comer its going to be eeehhh somewhat easy also.. OK. If i wasyou fallow these steps. They are free programs/trial wares.

2.once you download it install it and scan your laptop( .
once you completed that it should find the virus and get rid of it or quarantine it(removed also)

Limewire is neither illegal or full of viruses. If you have a virus, run your virus scan software and get rid of it. If you don't have antivirus on your computer shame on you, but in that case use an online scan.

ok first delete all the crap he downloaded.
go to http://www.download.com
get FREE software for 3 things
viruses - avg free antivirus
adware - adaware 2007
spyware - spybot search and destroy

install and update. then restart your computer and press F8 and choose safe mode. run all the scans and then clean it. i would then run disk cleanup and disk defragmenter located under start>programs>accessories>system tools.
