I can't think of one good reason why same sex couples should not be able to marry. Not one. I think that anyone who is lucky enough to find love in this cold hard world is blessed.

History has shown that when the family unit and morals break down the country soon falls.Neither 2 men or 2 women can make a baby.It takes sex between a man and woman to make a baby which forms a family.A man cannot be a mother and a woman cannot be a father. It takes a man to be a father and a woman to be a mother. It throws the natural order of things all out of whack.People will say in the animal kingdom you see homosexuality, but they do not produce off spring and you never see 2 of the same gender raising young.
Then there are couples who never have kids, but still to see 2 of the same gender acting like husband and wife, thats just wrong. The Bible also condemns it above all.

Simple. Granting marriage status to homosexual couples comes at the expense of destroying the meaning of marriage for heterosexuals.

Redefining marriage to encompass relationships it was never intended to sanction debases the institution of marriage reducing it to a meaningless farce. Associating the once sacred sacrament of marriage with homosexuality discourages heterosexual couples from even bothering to formalize their commitment with a marriage license. After all what would be the point of heterosexuals getting married when the entire meaning of the institution has been entirely corrupted from it's original intent?

Before long it will be only homosexual couples who bother to seek marriage licenses. Heterosexual couples will choose instead to simply live together without legal formalities. The once holy sacrament of marriage will become forever transformed into a strictly homosexual institution.

Some may not see that as much of a loss. But for those of us who once cherished the institution of marriage as the holiest of unions between a man and a woman it's destruction represents one of the saddest chapters in human civilization.

Go to the Christian Coalition's website if you want to be fed their load of horsecrap for your speech. You could just be an man though, and explain that there really AREN'T any good reasons why same sex couples shouldn't be able to marry.

The "rights" gays want are already there, HAVE been there, they just have to go about it a different way. (healthcare, next of kin, all of it)

So there really is no excuse, legally speaking.

Of course there is also the reasons of it being wrong, disgusting, selfish and nasty.

There are no good reasons. Put that into your speech.

no, actually we should give marriage to the gays, and come up with a 3 year marraige plan, with option to re-new... call it a "marraige lease"
