How much more in US tax payer bribe-aid will Bush offer them to get along?

Other than Bush 1, has any other president had the stones to publicly tell both nations that he will cut the bribe-aid if they did not behave?

Ever since Al Gore won the Nobel. He has about as much a chance of 'personally bring peace' to the middle east as he does gaining entrance to Mensa on his own merit. It really tweaks him that Gore is recognized on the world stage for something good and not as a flaming bunghole like Bush is, so therefore he must 'go out and get one of those awards for himself'....maybe Nancy Reagan can nominate him, she is still trying to get one posthumously for Ronnie.

Who in the hell cares when he decided to do it. Congress has to approve and fund everything Bush spends. The problem is with our representatives and our senators. Elect the right people. Become active, teach your friends and family what needs to be done. Check out Ron Paul too.

There will never be real peace in the Middle East. As nice as it would be, this prophecy continues to be fulfilled everyday. The prophecy of the Arab countries acting as a wild donkey has also been fulfilled. Its sad, but unfortunately true.

Its all about the Bush legacy, nothing more. the clock is ticking down, and he has to put together a peace deal even if it is only heald together with duct tape, before the end of his term.

Wouldn't you rather have peace there than a breeding ground for Terro rists looking to attack us?

Why do you assume it will take bribes too? I personally don't agree with this policy as it does not change their views, but only makes them repress them for a bit.

He needs to boost the Republican profile prior to the election.

You notice he's become a fiscal conservative all of a suden too - taking the democrats to taks over "wasteful spending" the guy really has no shame.

He decided about 2 hours after he read something his speechwriter got through the proofreaders without noticing what it said. Then he probably realized what he said and had to cover for it.

He failed at war, so he might as well try peace.

But what I don't understand is why he did not try diplomacy in Iraq.

It costs a lot less to talk than to deploy a 300,000 man Army and destroy a country's infrastructure.

It really does not make any difference what Bush does.it is always wrong or has a hidden agenda to the ones who dislike him.
