Hey all,

So for a speech communications class (10th grade) we have to do an informative speech on something we are interested in. and I picked music. Well obviosly music is too broad of a topic so i have narrowed it down to this. I am going to do "How society has changed the way that song writers write lyrics over the last 50 years" Or basically how our music has changed. So I am basically looking for some people from different decades to tell me what the main focus was during the 50's-today. Like for instance, a lot of todays music is about love and relationships and stuff like that. But anyone wanna give me some songs and some ideas as to what music was all about when you were younger?

Thanks all ( its gonna be hard to pick a best answer here but I will do the best that i can) Sorry to everyone who gives great ideas. Any other questions you can e-mail me: Hkaybugs@yahoo.com

Thanks to everyone for their opinions!!!!!

song writers use drugs to get into an "out of life" mode so that they can write weird songs. people in the 60's smoked mary j and they wrote music about it. look at bob marley.
