Ive got a linksys. Its never failed me so far and its survived two house moves, kids, and being knocked around, turned off and on randomly etc etc, but its great! Cant say I've ever used Belkin, but that's a user review for a linksys router. I Originally got a netgear but had to take it back because it was crap! The guy and maplins told me to get a linksys. Hope this helps!!

If you are going to get a router, regardless of G or N, I would highly recommend get MIMO technology. You can never go wrong with Linksys. Great service and a company that will always stand behind their product. I just purchased a D-Link N router, DIR-655 called the extreme and it has Mimo with a single USB port I use for my extermal hard drive. It does fine. Linksys jumped on the MiMO band wagon late, but for all corporations I know, Linksys is the only router they will buy because of it's many features, quality and service. D-Link used to have a bad reputation with routers until it became the first to use MIMO. I use to have a Linksys and have no complaints. Have not tried Belkin.

With MIMO, right now many routers are very competitive and equal to Linksys in performance. Linksys does seem to have more customizable features if you are in expert. What ever router, make sure you secure it using wpa2 or better encryption and a password at minimum.

I used Belkin on my 32 bit vista. I have no problem with them Belkin. Then I changed to vista 64 bit and My wireless adapter(previous) didn't work. I went online download the driver that could work on my newer vista, but my model is not compatible due to the fcc id. With much disappointments on my part, I did email their tech support without reading all the instructions for which model should work on my system, and Yes I did email them at the wrong site and with all courtesy and professionalisms, they emailed me back with the link to get support within like couple of hours. Thank you Belkin's tech support.

Linksys is ok, but I have not dropped by their tech support yet, so I don't really know. Signal? ah, they're alright. But I miss my Belkin adapter though. I don't know if they have my wireless adapter for that model driver updated yet. It's a fcc id: k75-f5d7050B.

So you have my answers for the two companies, and it's your choice to pick which one you would prefer?.

Linksys's tech: I will be at your site in the near future. You guys might be surprised who would stop by....HAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!

Used both, both worked fine, both are still up and running for their respective owners, but I liked the Linksys menus and manual better
