btw i'm doing this just because i think it's a good long term decision and that the ps3 will long outlast the 360 with it's newer technology and since it doesn't have the 3 red lights problem. plus i want blue ray. do you all agree with this?

my other question:
do you think i would get more store credit at play n trade if i traded it in before christmas?
i still haven't decided whether it's certain or not so yeah...
any help would be appreciated.

Yes! Another Xbox 360 owner is converting over to the PS3! As a matter of fact, earlier this year I convinced one other Xbox user to buy a PS3, and he has had his PS3 for about 2 months now, no joke.

The PS3 will probably last 3 or 4 more years than the Xbox 360. The PS3 was said by Sony to have a 10 year life span. The Xbox 360 still uses outdated DVD-9 for it's games and developers are already restricted by how much content they can put in one game. With the PS3, Cell processor and the Blu-Ray disc, the possibilities are endless. The Xbox 360 is nothing but a faulty console, and with the PS3 you will never have to worry about your console breaking down.

Plus, the PS3 has the best exclusive game line up of 2008 hands down and every gamer that knows the PS3 game line up knows it. Metal Gear Solid 4 is just right around the corner in 2008, God of War 3 is coming in 2008, Killzone 2, and a bunch of other PS3 exclusives are coming in 2008. You've made the right decision.

I think that you should just trade in the console whenever you get a chance. Most people will probably be buying new Xbox 360's because literally everybody knows how faulty the Xbox 360 hardware is, so it really doesn't matter when you trade it in.

The 360 has very just about No resale in any respect. because of the INSANELY intense fail fee (confident even on the hot ones Iv'e had 3 Falcons fail on me). Gamestop gives you around one hundred twenty$ for an elite.....Yeah im not kidding call one your self....one hundred twenty$ for the 120Gig HD and all. Even on auction web content your going to take a huge hit. not many human beings elect to purchase a Used 360. in spite of the shown fact that i visit assert I do quite relish my ps3 i exploit it a ton. 360 Has some wonderful Exclusives yet ninety% of them may be performed on a pc. the place because of the fact the ps3 has much less Exclusives yet there actual Exclusives (IE bought basically on ps3). As consistent with a pc? I gotta say I actual have a extremely modern gaming pc...and that i slightly use it. as quickly as your imbred right into a private computing gadget this is totally tense to get used to utilising a pc as a universal gadget. Littlebigplanet,Resistance2,Uncharted Drakes fortune,Ratchet and clank,Motorstorm, steel kit 4 are my very own favorites. in my opinion i could decide for the PS3 for my area. 360 has an particularly good video games Library yet once you very own a pc oftentimes pointless. besides as particularly frankly it fails way too in many situations.

well i don't think i would trade it in but sell it to a friend or on ebay or something. but I would keep the xbox for now because it has the best games, the best looking graphics, and the best online system. and who knows a few years down the road the console prices will drop and if ps3 turns around and gets better it will cost you less to buy and you will have both to play around unless 360 hit the death bed, but for now I have been first buyer of the xbox 360 and its still working today with no issues.

again buy both or wait it out unless you cant or really like the few games they have on ps3 over the 360, and want blue ray over hd dvd

i dont agree with your decision but...
i think that you may get a little more store credit before trading it in.

I wouldnt trade it in. The PS3 wont outlast the 360 or the wii. Currently the wii is the best seller closely followed by the 360 whilst the ps3 is lagging so far behind its just shamefull.

Keep your 360 and enjoy the plentifull exclusive games that the PS3 cant promise you.

great decision to trade in the inferior xbox360 for the cutting edge PS3. the game advantage is quickly evaporating as more & more titles are released for the PS3.

you probably won't get any more or less store credit since the xbox360 is in plentiful supply. depending on what they offer you for the xbox, you might keep it & have both systems available.
