so basically this year i got cheering captain. and im really nervous on how often to do a sideline cheer with the squad. like i know people think we sound annoying, and hey .. we do . but we have to bring the spirit its our sport. so how often should we do a sideline cheer? every 3 minutes.. 5 ? we have a bout 23 cheers we can do at the game. and i dont want to repeat or do too many.
thanks and please no. "how about you guys do a cheer every 0 minutes" or something. becuase do you think we can really do that now ? haha

High School basketball games are usually 4, 8 minute quarters with the clock stopping on whistles and timeouts. I think you should do about 5 or 6 cheers a quarter...mounts and tumbles during timeouts and your dance or whatever at halftime. This in my opinion will balance well and not over use any cheers.

I am not sure about how long it is in high school basketball, each period goes, I never really went to any of my high school's basketball games. But in college, there are 2 20 minutes quarters, and half time, is well that time. And if needed, then there will be overtime, if the scored is tied ater 4 quarters.

At least 5(five) mins in line with quarter. It will have to be a minimum of a little over that, most likely 6-eight mins lengthy. One tip could be to stick calm for the period of the sport, check out to not get too excited. Be equipped to look at little children play, plenty of overlooked baskets and plenty of open photographs.
