what exhaust should i get for my 99 eclipse gs?

Question

im looking for a deep sounding exhaust for my eclipse, i dont want that ricey sound like some tuners, the only modification i have at the moment is an AEM short ram intake.

i am open to other types of exhausts but im looking for the best performance and the deepest sound

If you like the Mitsubishi Eclipse sell your Neon and get a Mits with a real motor. I can't believe people waste money on that clunker of a motor! You probably have a head gasket leak any ways, they all needed replacement because of a bad Chrysler design flaw. If you have a wet block on the back of the drivers side of the motor thats what to spend your spare cash on. Turn the music up until you can afford a different ride.

I have heard that the A'Pexi Ni exhaust system sounds somewhat whiney in the higher end of RPMs.
Borla, like the person before me stated, is a good exhaust system to get. Deep sound basically all around. I assume that you have the 420A engine. In the case that you do, you can certainly check out Neon forums to see what they recommend. Granted, the chassis is different so the options that the Neon owners have you may not.

Neither. Your car is 8 (soon to be 9) years old. Get a stock exhaust for it. Why would you waste your money on an exhaust system because you think it "sounds cool"?
