I'd say "no" just because it's always better to be formal for a job interview. You want to send a vibe of "I know what's appropriate and professional."

If you *must* wear jeans, go with the darkest wash you can find, as the above poster suggested. The darker the denim, the more formal.

I'd suggest wearing dress pants or a skirt and bringing your jeans to change into once you get to school, if that is what you wish to wear to school.

Hope your interview goes well either way!

Do you know what the management wears at the store? Use that as your baseline. If they wear jeans then you can too to the interview, but make sure that they're not faded and even ironed. If they wear khakis or dress slacks while the other employees wear jeans, then go that route.

The idea is to make those in the position to hire you feel like you're one of them.

Now a days its fine to wear jeans to anything as long as you dress them up. Wear maybe a boot cut darn wash jeans with heels or flats if you'd like. A nice blouse or shirt would be nice.

good luck on your job interview!

Most employers HATE jeans & will not even let their employees wear them. Showing up in jeans is not a real good idea for an interview..

No. Never. You don't have to wear a skirt but definitely NOT jeans. You could even wear shorts. But, it's kind of cold, so...

Try a casual top with more dressy pants, like: http://www.nyandcompany.com/nyco/browse/sub_category.jsp?categoryId=cat330056 those pants. Trust me, jeans do NOT make a good first impression. I don't know why, but, they're just a tad too casual, no matter the top.

sorry, it is never appropriate to wear jeans to an interview. No matter where you live. that is just way too casual. You would be better off wearing khakis or some other type of chino pant besides denim.

I would say no. It is more professional and you will come across as serious about the position if you Wear slacks. You don;t have to wear a suit, but wear something other than jeans.

The founder and CEO of Apple, Steve Jobs, wears jeans and a black turtleneck to work every and also wears this infamous outfit when he presents his keynote address at MacWorld every year. I think you'll be fine.

I have always been told to dress as if you already had the job. If their dress code is formal, wear formal clothes. If it is casual, dress casual. I would think the position you are applying for is semi casual...no jeans, but if their employees are allowed to wear them to work then it would be fine.

No. It's better to go over dressed instead of under dressed.
Change outfits before going to the interview.
