She did not show up in court today?

This morning, we were to be in court and she did not show up. I called her to remind her last night and she told me she was in another state. I found out just now she was here in town through her aunt. She just did not go to court. This was for Non-support. She has not paid any of her child support since I was awarded custody. What happens next? I can prove she was in our town. She does have a few warrants out for her arrest.

Basically the law will catch up with her eventually. Being a deadbeat parent is too easy to get away with in most states.
I don't know where you are, but California (where i am) has some of the strictest laws on the books for child support enforcement. She could lose her drivers license, have her wages attached, her tax refunds intercepted, go to jail, etc. Just keep the child support services informed of any information you have as to her whereabouts or workplace and hope for the best. Not much else you can do other than give that child of yours big fat hugs and kisses and be the best daddy you can be!

If she was subpoenaed to be in court and did not show there will be a warrant for her arrest. I had to arrest a woman on a contempt of court warrant for non payment of child support.

If she has warrants, call the cops, tell them who she is, where she is, that she has warrants and thet she blew off court again today, and they'll go pick her up.

Depends on your state and whole bunch of other things. If you have a lawyer, ask those questions. If you do not have a lawyer, ask your county child support case worker.
