Okay let's hear it for Monica on GH again. This time she ripped Sonny a new one?

Maybe there is one writer on General Hospital who hears the minority of us old time fans who are fed up with the strange clut worship of Sonny and Jason. Monica was absolutely right Sonny has destroyed her family in the pursuit of his life of crime. He may not have strangled Emily (and maybe even AZ didn't) but it was AZ's madness that allowed things to get out of hand at the BW Ball and If AZ had not cut the island off from the main land then perhaps Emily would be alive. He surely drove AJ mad, stole Michael from his family and lead Justus to his dead though Faith Roscoe.

It is past time for the good characters on GH to come back to the forefront and the evil ones to fade to the background. Let's see Monica, Jax, Bobbie, Lulu, Lucky, Mike, Maxie and others take the limelight and Jason and Sonny and the crime lords either reform or finally pay for thier crimes

Miscou23 You are clearly a new fan. General Hospital always had high adventure and excitement. From the Ice Princess saga to all the WSB adventures of Robert and Anna. Ryan Chamberlian a serial killer plauge the series for years, so did Grant Putnam and others. The mob drama is just one story recycled over and over again and not the real GH at all

I'm still not watching, but I read the transcript from that scene at Serial Drama and am in awe. I'm shocked whenever the writers finally permit someone to tell the truth about Sonny, but unfortunately it never lasts. The Merry Mob Men will brood about it for a couple of days, if that long, and then they will "come to their senses" and realize that Monica is simply crazy with grief and nothing could possibly be their fault. Monica will then be cast as insane for doubting the light shining from the buttcrack of her only surviving child, and probably carted of to Roselawn (hey, Leslie Charleston did say she wanted a story, and I wouldn't put it past Guza to make her regret that wish).

I do agree that Sonny has caused the Quartermaine family great pain and has destroyed the lives of Monica's children, even though not all of it has been intentional. But, I'm sick and tired of the Q's blaming every tragic event that takes place in Port Charles on Sonny and Jason. Monica knows that Jason loves Emily, how can she ask him to stay away from the funeral? She knows Jason is grieving the loss of his sister. Instead of fighting the family should be coming together at a time like this.

I would also like to see certain characters come back including Brenda and Felicia. But I don't want the writers to cut out the mob storylines. I happen to love GH's mob drama.

Wow, that was an amazing scene. It was like the writers took one chance to state everything viewers say about Sonny that is negative. She was right on, 100%. He is a killer, he did take a very impressionable Jason and suck him in completely to a crime life where he all but worships Sonny. He's even turned away from his children and 'loves' for Sonny, yet Sonny can raise Michael and Morgan.

Mad is the best acting for Monica, she does mad great. Mourning...no..but mad she does very well. It was nice to see her that way.

You gotta love Monica, she told it like it was and pulled no punches. She called him out on everything he did to her family and she was completely correct!That being said, I do like Sonny but I have always been repulsed by what he did to AJ. AJ could have got help for his addictions and Sonny can't ever get out of the business. Jason would have returned home is not for Sonny but then he was a little boring back then. I was so glad someone finally told him how it was. I hope we get more of Monica, she deserves to have a great story that involves her and not to support someone else's story.

Actually she should blame her dead son AJ for the family decline. AJ was a drunk who ruined Jason medical career and then since the Q's couldn't accept the "brain damaged" Jason, Sonny took him in. AJ planned the kidnapping of "his" son Michael and let Sonny and Carly think he was dead. Sonny seems pretty tamed compared to AJ

First things first. AJ caused Jason to be like that from drinking. Jason cant go back because he has brain damage. They try and try to bring him back but he doesnt like the old him plain and simple. Monica has every right to put blame on Sonny for other things. In this case its not his fault, its his brother Rick's father fault for keeping this secret this long that Johnny's dad is a major nut job and this was the cause of Em's death. Yes Emily would still be alive.No AJ drove himself mad because he cant live up to his family reputation and always kept coming second to his brother. Remember AJ was cause of the fire the cause of Lucky's "aparent death". Sonny found out and made him sign over his rights to Michael. When he was with Carly he treated her like crap. THen he hooked up with Sonnys' sister Courtney to make a good impression to get Michael back. That plan fell through. Much stuff the Quartermains do its okay. Remember AJ faked his death and kidnapped Sonny's kids blamed Courtney and for his death. Kidnapped Sonny's kids with the help of Faith Roscoe. AJ caused his cousin to get hurt the first time. Jax was a rotten b******* when he came to Port Charles. Lucky was doing drugs, Mike was a crook and a drunk, Bobbie got her son from a black market, Monica had an afair when Rick came back to town for Laura's wedding. Justus died because of Manny not Faith Roscoe. AJ shot his cousin in a grave yard. Not everything in PC is cause by Sonny and Jason. They just get blamed because there so easliy to blame. Monica had that right to jump down Sonny's throat because she lost her daughter. AJ was the cause of Carly falling down the steps and loosing her baby with Sonny. AJ is lucky that neither Sonny, Carly and Jason didnt take him out then. They always blame those two when stuff hits the fan. Nine time out of ten they arent the blame.

i totally agree with you. monica's blasting of sonny was great and long overdue. i am tired of the sonny corinthos show. today's funeral was wonderful to watch, mostly because all the actors and characters i enjoy had more screen time than they've had in a month.

i do enjoy jason though. it would be great to see him somehow reconnect with monica over em's death and distance himself from sonny.

I missed it!!! but lets be real...the strange cult worship of Sonny and Jason is because they are HOTTTT!! if they were ugly old dudes no one would give a rats ***. Monica and Bobby have been put on the backburner b/c they are getting old and aren't the beautiful ones anymore...

It was good to see her let him have it. B ut I doubt it will change a damn thing. But it would be great if they would move away from all this mob stuff so much. It's become all GH is about. I keep wondering over and over what happened to love in the afternoon?
