how is starch broken down to glucose prior glycolysis?

Plz i looked all in the book and can't find nothing. I hate the biology book so cruel and evil. So yeah if you can find it and post the website where you found it. It would be much appreciated. Thnx!!!!

Starch is broken to maltose by amylase in the saliva. Maltose is a disaccharide of glucose, and is broken to glucose by maltase in the intestine before it is absorbed.
