no presents, no decorations, no exchanging cards? Just treat it like it was another day of the week.

Sometimes, I think I would just because Christmas has become so commercialized. I think I would actually skip it for a year, especially if I didnt have the funds neccessary to keep up with the Holidays. But on the other hand, not being able to exchange not even a Christmas Card? No, I dont think that I could go that far.

I am NOT doing presents this year -- for my Special Someone and I BOTH decided that ... (especially since we are both Empty-Nesters, with our own homes, and the ONLY thing we wanted this Christmas was to BE TOGETHER and just enjoy the Holidays!).

Now ... as far as decorations go -- this year is going to be REAL SIMPLE -- Net Lights placed over my front bushes, some Twinkle Lights from my roofline, and just simply a Lighted Artificial Tree in my Entry area. I just like to see the twinkle lights at night -- they are (for me at least) a cue for very FOND memories of My own Parents (who died over a quarter century ago). They would decorate the yard and the house (and my Mother would definitely enjoy it and go overboard!). I do this in their honor.

Always wanted to and it's getting better every year. Haven't done any of the commercial crap for years now. It's about family and friends, taken me this long to get the message out but they're finally listening. Wahoo!! I give gifts when the mood strikes me and don't wait for any stupid holiday to do it.

There won't be many presents, not for me anyway. I've already bought myself something. Everything else we'll be doing, albeit on a smaller, less stressful scale.
