68 in the winter - if you're cold dress warmer or move around.
78 in the summer - use a portable fan to move the air around- cheaper than lowering the temp on the A/C

Since i don't have control over the temperature (my dad does) its set at 67!!!!!!! ITS FREEZING. For some reason, my dad is always hot. In the car (in the middle of winter) he sets it to the lowest setting-65 degrees!!
does anybody know why he might be so hot all the time?

I live with my mom who's ALWAYS COLD. It can be 65° outside and she has the heat on! During the winter she claims the thermostat is only at 78°, but I can tell you it feels much hotter. Drives me crazy! We argue all the time.

55 degrees. I'm home (and awake) in my apartment for about 4 hours a day. Whats the point of having the heat up for that long? As long as the pipes don't freeze.

68 degrees during the day and low 60's at night. I'd rather wear warm clothes than feel stuffy.

Unfortunately we have kerosene for heat... So to save money, we have our thermostat at 55 and the furnace vents shut in the bedrooms...
Brrrrr...

70 when we're home, 65 when we're away. We have a setback thermostat so it does it automatically. We seldom adjust the thermostat.

No higher than 68. If we are cold we get a blanket or a sweatshirt.
