You've gotta have that fiber for better colon health. Too much colon cancer these days due to our modern refined foods.

Hi Quantum. I gave Mich a best answer rating. I am adding my thoughts here, because the 2nd answer is factually in error.

You cannot get vitamin A poisoning from carrot juice because there is NO vitamin A in carrot juice. However, carrots and juice do contain beta-carotene which can be converted into vitamin A by an enzyme in your body. This enzyme is 'regulated', which means it will stop working when enough vitamin A is made. So, you cannot get vitamin A poisoning from carrot juice. You can develop carotonemia - an excess buildup of beta-carotene in the blood which will discolor the skin. This is Not a serious danger and is quickly resolved by reducing the intake of beta-carotene.

Best wishes.

You won't get Vitamin A poisoning from carrots because Carrots contain carotenoids which your body only makes into Vitamin A if it needs to.

Carrot juice won't give you all the fiber but it will increase the nutrient concentration. That's a good thing.

Both choices have their place.

Presumably drinking carrot juice would be better because that way you get a lot more vitamin A than from eating carrots.

If you drink very large amounts of carrot juice you could possibly get vitamin A poisoning. You would never get vitamin A poisoning from eating carrots because you would not be capable of eating the amounts that would cause vitamin A poisoning.

If you drank several litres of carrot juice every day you could possibly get vitamin A poisoning.

Perhaps you could try a search for "carrot juice" + "vitamin A poisoning". Apparently if you drink 10 gallons of carrot juice your skin will turn yellow and the next day you will be dead from vitamin A poisoning.

The whole fruit or vegetable is always better than drinking the juice. While drinking the juice, you're missing on the fiber!
