I recently reached Gunnery Sergeant and unlocked the silencer for the M4 carbine. Previously in multiplayer, I seem to recall picking up someone else's M4 carbine that had a red dot scope and a silencer, yet it seems that I can only attach one or the other to my M4.
Do I need to be a certain level to use multiple attachments (via Perks), or am I just losing my mind already?

You need a certain amount of kills for the weapon to unlock sights and stuff for that weapon. It doesn't matter what lvl you are. Example...25 kills with an M4 gives you a red dot scope for the M4, 75 gives you a silencer, and 150 gives you ACOG, but I may be wrong...

but it would be cool if you could have two attachments for 1 weapon.... sadly you cant. but the game is still amazing

I think you're mistaken... you can only have one or the other on the gun at a time.
