Virginia Beach here! Myrtle beach is too expensive to vacation at in my opinion.

New Smyrna Beach.
It is small enough that the beach isn't packed and the town has the genuine beachy feel. Daytona Beach is 20 min away for the night life and mobs of people.

relies upon on what you opt for; Myrtle coastline is extensive for evening existence, procuring, and day journeys to Charleston and Wilmington. in case you opt for something much less "touristy" try south of Myrtle coastline in Litchfield or Pawleys Island. the two seashores are much less crowded than Myrtle, yet they're close sufficient which you will take income of the evening existence and procuring in Myrtle coastline in the evenings. Have a great time.
