A 240 volt dryer will not work worth a darned on 120. You can buy a 120 volt dryer, or have an electrician install a 240 volt circuit for the dryer.

You won't be satisfied with a 120 volt dryer. They are very compact, hold little amount of clothes, and take forever to dry them. If that is the only choice you have then, you will have to. But your regular dryer needs 220-240 to turn the heating element on to create the wattage needed.

You can purchase an electric dryer that uses 110V. Some also can use 110V or 220V. I had one of these years ago. The only problem with the 110V dryers is they do not generate much heat, clothes take about three hours to fully dry.

No. A dryer uses a lot of power at 220V, much more power than you could get out of a 110v outlet. Not to mention the other difficulties of making the right connections - it just will not happen. You are stuck with hanging them or taking a basket of wet stuff to the laundromat and using their dryers.
