I rescently found out that my wife of 6 years has gambled away all of the money in my account, her account and maxed out every credit card we have. All together adding up to over 20,000. After I investigated into it she has been doing this for over a year now. I feel very betrayed almost like as if she has been living another life I didn't know about. We have 2 kids, a house, and a dog together. I dont even know if I love her anymore how can I tell. She begged me for the past 2 days not to leave her and that she will never step foot in a casino again, but how can I trust someone who has lied to me for over a year. I am really lost and dont know what to do any help would be appreciated.

If she really is serious about quitting gambling then she needs to go to gamblers anonymous. Problem gambling is an addiction and needs treatment not promises. Consult with a debt counselor about if your finances can be helped by them or if filing bankruptcy would be best.

As for you two you have children, at least seek some marital counseling before calling it quits. She should also seek help from a psychiatrist also. She may have some kind of depression or bi-polar disorder and medication will help to alleviate some of the impulses she has to gamble.

Start a new bank account and put your earnings into it.

This way you can be sure that at least your earned money is going towards bills.

Then, ger her some help.

Next, call up the credit card companies and make an arrangement to make payments to them, if just something until she gets help and you figure out how to pay it back. Since it's both on duo cards with your names on it, I think it's both your debt now.

Make her get help before you make any decisions!! If you just forgive her and let things go back to the way it used to be.. chances are she will be back in the casino in no time at all. You cant just take her word for it since she's betrayed you already!! Good luck!

Sounds like she needs help. Professional help. I can see how you feel betrayed. But ask yourself this. If she was an alcoholic or addict of another type would you support her? If you truly love her you may want to take that into consideration. Good luck and God Bless you and your family.

Have her work 16 hours a day to pay off all bills she gambled away. If she doesn't divorce the woman.

id say get into rehab for her addiction and get away from her, someone who does that isn't someone you shoudl play around with, she needs help and you need some peace from her. this is also why you should keep an offshore account, like i do, as mean as that may sound what do you expect in today's time?

If you don't love her, you go. If you do.. help her. Gambling addictions are real, if you educate yourself on the problem you can find out that many times they are real afflictions that a simple prescription can help.

You think she'll change? Bet no.... It's a habit and I don't think she;ll change... Get custody of both kids and tell her bye bye before it's too late...
