I knew that some people would be immature a$$holes. I am asking opinions. If you don't have anything intelligent to say, don't say anything at all, HMB.

Ethnic is a more politically correct term for non-white or non majority race. A large and ignorant block of people believe race is a construct and find it an offensive term. But race does exist and it is much more than skin colour it is our genes. This does not mean certain races are inferior only they are different.

I agree. People use Ethnic to mean Non-White when in fact that is not the meaning of Ethnic.

But what really gets on my nerves is when people use the term "Ethnic minority" in a broad sense. Don' they know that who is considered an ethnic minority depends on what country you're in?

Because everyone in this country is so stuck on being politically correct. Somehow ethnic became the new African-American. Personally I don't bother with putting on names, it always winds up pleasing one person but offending someone else.

I think it may be a form of political correctness. Would you be offended it the product said: Hair Care for black people?
As far as names go, they are all ethnic. Technically, we all have an ethnicity, be it african, oriental, latin, european, indian or american indian.

I understand what you are saying. Instead of saying Black, some people now refer to us as ethnic. I don't know how this trend started.
