... or is there no satisfaction to be had? I've been waiting for an important item for weeks... it should have been here a long time ago, having had ample time, and I can confirm that it has been mailed. Is there some sort of complaint form I can fill out, or something else that can be done?

Also... How is it that they can justify raising the price of stamps when they spend millions on advertising, not to mention make tons of profit on collectible stamps? Why the advertising? Who DOESN'T know about the US Postal service? Is it just me or is there something wrong with this picture?

Additional info:

It is a credit card... one that I have had to cancel and reapply for because of the fact that it could currently be sitting in the hands of some misfit intent on using it for his own twisted purposes. I have no certification, only the word from the credit company that they DID send it out. Do I trust this company? More than I do the postal service. I've had mail lost on more than one occasion.

Now I have to wait another week or so for the card, which I applied for as a boost for Christmas shopping. Yes, I know it's a minor inconvenience, but it still ticks me off. By the time the new one comes in, most of the great deals will have flown off the store shelves. I should have had it in time for black friday, but no... they couldn't let that happen, now could they?

The ONLY way to track any piece of mail that goes thru USPS is if it is sent out CERTIFIED perferably, RETURN RECEIPT REQUESTED, EXPRESS, or PRIORITY mail. If the credit card company didn't use any of these methods to send you your card...good luck...hope you get it!

Once something has been put in the mail, it passes through thousands of hands and many, many places. Anything can happen to a letter.

If it was THAT important, you should have had it sent priority mail or overnight delivery service.

If it was a credit card, somebody probably has stolen it.

You have no recourse with the Post office.

How can you confirm it was mailed? Did they certify it? If so then they have a tracking number to track it with. If you have valid documented proof, you have a case. If not, you are out.

If it's important, then you make a claim against the insurance. You DID buy insurance, right?
