Hi Im 15. I met this girl 17 on the internet we chated she was nice she was quite troubled though but she said I helpt alot. Her brother got hold of my address and said she was suicidual. She then told me im amazing, a true friend and stop her doing something stupid. I think I saved a wonderful persons life how should I feel?

You should feel great about what you've done, but don't stop there. If she's suicidal she needs to seek professional help in some way or another or you'll be her net for the rest of your life. A good therapist could probably help her come to terms with whatever problems she's been dealing with and develop tools to deal with any problems in the future. It sounds like you have a lot of sway with her, so don't be afraid to use it for good. Just... don't force her.
Tl;dr you did good, kid. Help her become self-reliant and you'll do something great.

I reckon for a young guy of 15 you should feel really proud of yourself,you have acted very maturely in talking sense into this girl and stopping her from doing something so drastic.And for the record i think if you want to feel a bit big headed about it for a while you have every right honey,you did an amazing thing well done xx ...Just one safety tip ,as someone has said just be careful who you give your address to.there are some weird people about.

How on earth did her brother get your address anyway? That was very silly giving your address away over the net. It could have led to something far more sinister than a bogus suicide ploy!

Please, stay away from her, she may be manipulating you... nobody who's that mentally ill, suddenly is Ok just because a little chat. Be careful, there are many people out there who can make you believe things to use you. You could get involved in her personal stuff, she could make you feel guilty, blackmail you with her tales of suicide: I have heard stories like this one.

I know what you mean. I have helped quite a few people in my times online. I wonder if they are ok. All we can do is to pray for them. Either way their souls need prayers also to make into heaven.

1. she might just be BS'in u. 2 if she is for real. then if u feel like u saved her, then u should feel very proud and happy, and maybe think about getting a job dealing with that.
