The easiest way to do this is to factorize each number into its prime factors:

3 --> 3
4 --> 2 x 2
5 --> 5
6 --> 2 x 3
10 --> 2 x 5
15 --> 3 x 5

Now you need to figure out how many of each factor you need. You need two 2s (4 requires two of them). You need one 3 (several numbers have it as a factor). You need one 5.

All together you have 2 x 2 x 3 x 5 = 60

This is the lowest common multiple.

That's the long way. The easier way when you have lots of numbers, is to start with the biggest number and write down its multiples:

15, 30, 45, 60...

Then check in order to see if all the others will divide it evenly.

15 can't be divided by 4, nor can 30 or 45.
60 works for all the numbers.

The lowest common multiple is 60

3 x 20 = 60
4 x 15 = 60
5 x 12 = 60
6 x 10 = 60
10 x 6 = 60
15 x 4 = 60

Start with the largest 15 and check its multiples
not 15, because 4 can't go into it
not 30, same reason
not 45, same reason
60 works for all

She may be doing this with prime factors but of course the answer will be the same

i will use the listing method....

3 = 3,6,9,12,15,18,21,24...60
4 = 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28...60
5 = 5,10,15,20, 25, 30, 35...60
6 = 6,12,18,24,30,36,42...60
10 = 10,20,30,40,50,60
15 = 15,30,45,60

The least common multiple is 60.

write all numbers in a line. start by taking 2 common, 3 common etc. till u get 1 for each of them... then multiply the common numbers ... u get your answer.
when a number is not divisible by the common number u r trying... leave it as it is and try to reduce it to one in next try by using another number as common.
It looks difficult but is very easy and clear.

symbol x = multiplication,

3 = 3,
4 = 2^2,
5 = 5,
6 = 2 x 3,
10 = 2 x 5,
15 = 3 x 5,

their LCM is 3 x (2^2) x 5 = 60.
