Why are these crack-heads putting the Dallas - Green Bay on their own network? I understand why the NBA has their own network because that is a form of revenue, since their ratings have dropped below Women's Cross-Eyed Bowling, but the NFL? C'mon. They are the richest sport, most watched sport. They ought to make it accessible to the public. Put Monday Night Football back on ABC like ti used to be. Yeah, a majority of people have cable, but not everyone, and it isn't fair, and the richest league in sports shouldn't be playing hard to get. I know we all follow the almighty dollar, and are greedy, but I can't even get the NFL network where I live because the cable provider won't carry it. I'm not going to go get a dish, just to cater to them. What ever happened to customer service? The customer is always right?

I don't have the network and I refuse to get it.
I can't stand the fact that they are playing games on their network. I don't mind the fact that is used for all things NFL, but once the season is over, what good is it? I got comcast and I refuse to pay for one channel, just because I want to watch some game.
This is a huge game this year. Quite possibly the game for home field, and probably a preview of the NFC Championship game. This is probably the biggest game of the year for the NFC, and its on NFL Network? You have to be kidding me. Sooner or later they are going to realise that not everybody wants this damn network.
The game should be on FOX where all NFC games are played.
Good luck!!

I agree with you that this is ridiculous. Now, they probably didn't expect the Cowboys and Packers to be as good as they are when they first made the schedule like this. But nonetheless, the principle is still bad. Most people have cable, not a dish. I don't know what they're thinking, but I do think that they feel like they can sacrifice a bunch of fans approval for what they may consider a greater good further along the road. Since they are the almighty NFL, the only professional football league of any relevence, they can turn a blind eye to the fans and still make great money.
It is absolutly ridiculous and I do hope this crap gets reviewed sometime soon so we don't have to experience this stuff next year. At either rate, I'm probably going over to Buffalo Wild Wings with some buddies to watch the game.

Ya it would definetely be a very highly watched game on any regular channel, with it being "NFC Championship 47 1/2" but I dont think its that big were people are gonna go and buy it just for 1 or 2 good games a year.
Most people who rly wanted to watch should just go to a bar or restaurant and show that the NFL network isnt gonna get good ratings or more purchases for showing just one good game

Get use to it. We'll be seeing more and more games televised on the NFL Network. And why not? It's their league, it's their network. I am lucky enough that my cable company carries the NFL Network. I do have to pay for it as a add on Digital Sports Package but for $3.00 a month for the NFL Network plus 7 other HD sports channels, it is well worth it.

You kind of answered the question in your details: They are the richest sport, most watched sport. They sell a tremendous product that millions of people are obsessed with. The object is to make as much money as possible with their product and that's what they're doing. People love the NFL so much that some will be willing to switch over just for the NFL Network. It may not be fair, but not much is. When you have someone hooked on your product, you don't back off and make it easier to get. You increase profits.

Yes, the NFL has become a greedy corporation that does not care about the fan. Call 212 450 2000 (the NFL office in New York) and tell the NFL what you think.

I couldn't agree more. Now, I have NFL Network, but I think its unfair to those who don't. Its all about money. A game this big should be on FOX or one of the big networks. Monday Night back on ABC? Not only that, the NBA should be back on NBC, the National Title game back on ABC, and they should bring back Pat Summerall to do the big game on FOX every Sunday instead of singing, rhyme along with me, "Dallas is the greatest ever and Tony Romo for president" Joe Buck. But its all about money. Things never stay the same, unfortunately.

Sad to say but the owners keep preaching to their players how football is a sport first are being hypocrites, they have always seen it as a business and will try to make as much money out of it as they can
It's almost like the NFL planned both teams to be 10-1,I would begin to wonder if the NFL is fixed,it's too much of a coincidence

How about this then. Get directtv or any sattelite company. Their rates are actually cheaper than cable. You get the NFL network and stop whinning. I wised up and got a dish and save over 30 dollars a month on my tv bill. I get the NFL network to so im going to love watching this game.

I have it. Comes with my Dish Network package that I get for free cuz the hubby works there.
But you act like they took the game from sunday and put it thursday on NFL Network. This was made as part of the schedule when it came out. They had no idea when making the schedule that the game would be as big as it is.
