If CHENEY DROPPED dead TOMORROW morning, I would breathe a sigh of relief.

I would remember him in this context:

On 9/11 while the President was traveling on a trip, Cheney was down in the Situation Room assessing information and making key decisions to help stabilize things. Also, twice he's been acting president while Bush underwent medical procedures - Cheney stepped up as the VP was supposed to do and made sure that someone was at the highest level of power overseeing things. Other nations didn't take advantage of Bush's temporary absences to take aggressive actions because they knew Cheney was capable.

I'd be sad but only for a short while since I have never met him. I suppose my first past sad feelings would be wondering who would be appointed to replace him and whether or not President Bush would allow him as much power as he did VP Cheney.

Then I already know your answer with what you just said at the end. My answer is that will not happen. I don't think negative like you do. Maybe you should start being more positive so you can at least have some happiness in your life rather than hoping for the worse to happen. Only liberals think like you do.
