There's more needed then just changing the oil and filter. Possible causes of what's causing the white/yellow mayo is restricted breathing of the PCV system, a head gasket problem (coolant mixing with the oil), or engine temperature (thermostat opening before 195 degrees).

where are you seeing this? If it is just at the filler cap it could be because of condensation so dont worry so much just yet. I would definitely change the oil though and see what the oil from the pan looks like. If it is also the same then there is a more serious problem. Get it checked out.

yes, have it changed. Make sure they drain it while the oil is still hot so it all comes out fast. Some of it will still be stuck in there though so dont be surprised. If you have a GM car with a V6 3.1 or 3.4, you probably need intake manifold gaskets too. Coolant is leaking into the oil. About $300-400 . If you are lucky, maybe just tightening the intake manifold bolts will stop the leak.

from what your explaining, mayo? that is a sign that you have a coolant leak in your crankcase (in your oil pan). unless you or someone put water in where the oil goes,
NOW antifreeze washes the oil off your bearings, and with no oil you will lose the engine.
change your oil. immediately, if not sooner. and you need to find out where the water/coolant is coming from.

When was the last oil change done? If it was fairly recent, you have a problem. It sounds like a possible head gasket leak. Is there a lot of white smoke from the tailpipe when it runs?

Changing it won't help as somehow; you've got water inside your engine (unless the oil cap was off while driving or something similar). A pro needs to check over the engine to see where this is happening and then you will need to decide whether or not it is worth having it repaired.

there must be a gasket problem somewhere in the engine. Water in the oil is what causes this color. Is it bad? YES.
Is it expensive to repair? Probably. Is there warranty left on the car? You'd better hope so.
