I used to be 95LB's in my late teens and it wasn't fun.
Later after my first child I was up to 140, I could live with that.
Then I got sick about 2 years ago and went back down to 115.
Then I started some perscription and got back up to 140, but also started inching up to 160. Then 170. I do not snack or each unhealthy foods I usually only eat1 meal a day, as I do not want to gain anymore weight. I also would like to quit smoking but know the weight gain would come. I do not like the extra weight. and would love to loose some. But that is hard to do. I would have to say being overweight is worse. I would love to be between 125 and l35.

It has to be the 20 lbs over weight for me. That is where I am right now, 20 lbs more now that what I have been in a long time. I can't even get in none of my jeans now because of that. I have to wear either stretch pants or my work scrub pants. I hate being this much over weight. Be so glad, when and IF I ever get to wear my jeans again. I am not going to buy any new jeans. I want to get back into the old ones again someday.

Personally: I think it would be worse to be 20 lbs under weight. If your 20 lbs over weight, your normally not morbidly obese or anything dangerously unhealthy. Being 20 lbs under weight looks very unhealthy & sickly.

The problem with this question, is you need to ask the AGE.

Seniors can afford 20 OVER . That is "money in the bank" should they become ill.

Younger people, 20 over is becoming obese, and they need to get a handle on it.

20 UNDER for anyone can lead to illness. OR can INDICATE illness!

I'm going to say I would much rather ( health wise) be 20 lbs underweight than 20 lbs over. I've been both at one time or another.. The doctors are now saying that we need to pay attention to the size of our waists
(belly) as much or more than the weight. I think they say for a woman if you have a waist bigger than 35" and men 44" then they are like 70% more likely to have a hear attack or stroke.
Sure, go ahead and give me a thumbs down ( whoever ya'll are...I know it wasn't you WW...I'm only telling it like it is)

Hmm...well, guess I have to opt for 20 lbs underweight...as I have diabetes II and any overweight is not healthy for me...but also these days a bit more weight makes me look more 'toned'...lol

Right now I'm somewhat slim

I have been both... and I would say over weight is worse for me... I just don't feel comfortable with the extra bulk! The steroids made me retain weight, what I ate made no difference at all! Very upsetting not to have control...
