Remember this rule?
x^(ab) = x^a^b

You have:
9^(3/2)

Which can be rewritten as:
9^(1/2 * 3)

Using the exponent rule above:
9^(1/2)^3

The first part is the same as sqrt(9):
[√9] ^ 3

Simplify:
3^3

Answer:
27
