I have never figured out my true purpose. I am 54 and keep wondering. I am very sure of who I am even though I don't know where I am going in the world. I keep trying to find my purpose, and my way, and even if I find out the second before I die that will be OK. And if I don't, well, there won't be a whole lot I can do about it. I hope I did a few things right. What I did wrong I can't change or make up for.

Though I strongly believe I cannot answer that question for you, I can give you what I use to keep myself happy. I often time find myself downtrodden due to the lack of humanity that exists on the Earth and so few people have a low amount of tolerance for differences. There is corruption everywhere and everyone has to degrade one another, as if that single person knows so much better than the one they are criticizing. If that is they case, then why don't they just take the situation over? Sorry, I digress. What I use to keep myself centered is to take a moment to view a part of nature that I find beautiful. Even if you cannot make it to a place that is not naturally lovely, find a location outside where you can sit and not hear the busy hustle and bustle of street cars, alarms, etc. Close your eyes and just listen to the sounds of the wind. Breathe deeply and just listen. Concentrate more on yourself during those few minutes. Think about what truly makes you happy. Good music? Something you did for someone else? Is there a particular moment in your life that you hold precious amongst others? Once you find something, whatever it is that is troubling you will seem so frivolous. And when the ugly stressor rears its face again, just smile and take a second to reflect on the realization that life isn't always bad. Another point to take is that if we didn't have some bad times, those great times would probably have not been considered "great" because there would have been no comparison. It is the awful that make the good seem so beautiful. "This is just an obsticle to get through so that I can continue on with what is good in life."

I simply exist with no known purpose... I've been searching for purpose for such a long time now... In the end, all I can say is that life, and everything else has no meaning... And because there is no meaning to it all, there can only be annihilation and destruction... So that everything will cease to be...

My purpose is to use my skills in the service of humanity, at least for the people that I come across or happen to be associated with e.g. Give reiki healing to the ill persons and help them recover fast, help them in changing their thought pattern and make them understand the importance of thoughts in our life, how to handle life in office and domestic front so that our family members live fearlessly and strong enough to face life as it comes, surmount difficulties thru prayers and not go into depression. I want my life to be my message also. Within my own constraints I want to do at least this much.

our true purpose is so complex and interwoven… maybe the most important part was saying hi to this guy on the street so he would be two seconds latter in crossing the road… if he had been those two seconds faster he would have been run over.... now not this guy but his great great grand son will go on to do something important… that’s our claim to meaningful purposes

My only purpose in life is to continue on my path and relationship with my Maker (also known as Krisha, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, Rama, etc.) and to help others understand there eternal relationship with the Creator. To help others understand that God is One with many names and many traditions. That He is Unlimited and Universal and not bound to any Religion. That we are not these material bodies or designation IE Race, color, nationality, religion, job, mind, intellect, etc.) That we are all eternal spirit souls, part and parcel of the Supreme Soul, named above. That we all have an eternal loving relationship with Him if we desire to connect to Him He is waiting. It is so ecstatic and amazing and not superficial and can be directly experience in fullness. Not just some big energy, but a real Supreme Person who we can totally relate to. Yes I have found myself, but that is not enough I want others to experience this amazing, sublime, wonderful, Supreme Relationship of Love. If you want to taste this writ me for a direct link on this sublime practice of Devotional Service (Bhakti Yoga) not some bending and breathing exercises it is a process of offering all of ones thoughts, words, activities, talents, job, etc. in the loving service of God which begins with directly relating with Him by chanting His Transcendental Holy Names (namely the Maha mantra) God I love this process.
