Ok As most mothers-to-be I am very anxious to feel my bub for first time (im 14 weeks with number 1)

But I heard at some point it should be moving and be felt daily.. and if it stops you should see doc?
I kknow this is in the late stages...

and I KNOW everyone is different. But as a general guide.. from when should a baby be moving, and when does the baby move regularly and as I said, when is it a concern when he's not?

thanks :)

I am 29 weeks now with my first. I started feeling regular movement at about 20 weeks. Now that I am in the third trimester, my doctor suggested doing a kick count twice a day. She said I should be feeling atleast 10 kicks an hour. Good luck and congradulations on your pregnancy!

I am 34 weeks pregnant and I started feeling my baby around 20-22 weeks. I started having "quickening" I would say around the 18th week or so. Your baby can move from the very early stages of pregnancy, but the baby's too small for you to feel the movements until around 16-24 weeks. At my 30 week appointment is when my doctor had me start counting how many kicks, flutters, movements I received after dinner each night for 2 hours. That's in the later stages of your pregnancy; your doctor or midwife will explain that to you, when the time is ready. I hope this helps. Good Lucks & Congrats!!!!!

I started feeling my baby at 18 weeks, but it was about three weeks more before I felt him every single day. At first I might feel him moving quite a bit for a few days, and then nothing for a week. Now (26 weeks) it's like he never sleeps!
Of course, I have no idea what normal is! I think part of it depends on how much body fat you have (the less you have the more movement you'll feel)

Go to babycenter.com and get the book "What To Expect When You're Expecting." These two things have helped me tremendously. You probably will feel your baby move somewhere in between 16-22 weeks and it's around 24 weeks when you should feel so many movements in an hour (usually at least 10 per hour). However, when you're busy you don't have time to count all the time. As time progresses, you'll get to know your baby's habits and times he/she kicks the most. Congrats!

I so know your concern! I felt the first real movement around seventeen week...around the same time i started to show. I don't remember when i started to feel regular movements, but i'm pretty sure it was after I found out the sex(around 20 weeks). It is so fun to feel those little kick!! And then they become BIG kicks!! haha

congrats on your fist baby!!!well with all 3 of my babies they were never much wigglers. i think i first felt my dd around 20-21 weeks along and my boys maybe a week sooner or so. but at the end they say 10 movements in an hour but mine never did.or if they did it was small movements that i really didn't notice. when you get farther along your baby will have a wake-sleep schedule of its own, and most times they are awake when you want to sleep. but if your feeling good and the baby is doing good i wouldn't worry a whole bunch i guess i never counted my babies movement.s good luck

With your first pregnancy, 18 to 20 weeks is the norm, although some women don't feel anything until 23-24 weeks.

it may be 22 weeks before you feel your baby. that is completely normal. some women feel it sooner (as early as 14 or 15 weeks) others later. at around 28 weeks your doc will probably have you doing kick counts where baby should move 10 times within 2 hours.

i'm 24 weeks and i feel my baby every so often, but not constantly. they sleep just like we do, and then at times they're active.

good luck!

generally, you can feel the first little flutters around 14 weeks, but usually won feel "kicks" until about 16 weeks. you probly wont notice a pattern of kicking or notice it everyday until 18 to 20 weeks. its still too early for any worries...thats usually for when you get further along, more in the 3rd trimester! good luck!

You should feel your baby move anywhere between 16 and 22 weeks and it won't be everyday. I first felt mine move at 17w 2d, then at 17w 4d, then at 18w 1d and I have felt nothing for 2 days now. Don't worry, you will feel your baby soon. Good luck.
