I'd say both parties are in corporate hands.
This, incidentally, is why I laugh every time someone suggests Hillary is a socialist. If she was, clearly big business would not be bankrolling her candidacy.
The reasons the Dems are getting more now is simply because they're in charge of congress. Prior to 2006, the Republicans got more from businesses.

I beleive "big business" gives about the same amount of money to both parties, but small business owners are more likely to be Republicans. What is even more interesting is that when it come to Senators, the Democrat Senators are much richer.

Shhhhh, they don't want their dumb constituency to find out. Funny that was the "little mans" president. He was as much big business as any. What did happen with Microsoft, I figured Gates wouldn't play ball and bought puts? Guess which Junior senator is at number one or two in the most lobbyist money and I won't tell you her name*? more than poor guys that been there 40 years.

Well, for the first time in quite a long time, you are right.
We'll take the money because we know what to do with it.
It's not our fault that corporations realized their mistake in backing fundamentalist war mongers.
Bush was not sponsored by big companies.... he OWNS them.
And to the person who said Walmart is a "liberal" mecca.... that is the most backwards thing I've ever heard.... I can't even drive past it without getting splashed with Battle Hymn drivel from the KKK members who reside in their parking lots...

why would big business support the group that's "trying to tax them out of buiness" according to Republicans?
doesn't make any sense?
why would big business be pro-democrat?
and it would only be hypocritical if the Dems changed their story after they got the money...

Hmmm... it sounds a lot like the GOP is a sinking ship. That'll happen when a vessel looses it's rudder.
