Hello, my school is doing the musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and I am wanting to audition for the role of Bud Frump.
I am a junior
I am a tenor/baritone
I have extensive experience in theater and acting.
I am also the Forensics Captain.
I need to prepare a song for auditions, what song should I sing for his character?
I also have to read from the script, but I will not know what section till day of, how do I go about preparing for this?
I really really want this part!
Please offer any other suggestions that might be helpful!

Can't you just go and try out for the show? Do you have to try out for a particular character? If so your director is an idiot for letting the inmates run the asylum. Do I Have Often Walked Down This Street Before from My Fair Lady. Frump is an incompetent nincompoop who only gets hired cause he is realted to the boss's wife. So make him kind of a smart alec. He is really a kind of nerd.
