Marjiuana is illegal in all 50 states for recreational use. However, some states have "decriminalized" marijuana so that simple possession of small amounts do not constitute an actual crime, hence you can only be punished by a monetary fine and you do not get a criminal record. The most notable example is Alaska, where simple possession of 1 oz or less in your private home you are not subject to any criminal sanctions. New York is another example, where first time offenders who possess 25 grams or less are guilty of a "violation", which is lower than a misdeedmeanor and you can be punished with only a $100 fine and recieve no criminal record. There are several other states with similar policies. Other states have medical marijuana laws, where medical use of marijuanna is permitted but in effect these are overriden by federal law,

None. The federal goverment has made it clear that marijuana is illegal in the United States. Some states may have laws that allow for medical marijuana or lenient sentences for marijuana in small amounts. Denver allows for possession of small amounts too.
It all means nothing if you are found with Marijuana by a federal officer. Federal Law usurps state laws.

None.
There are States - such as California - that have "medical marijuana" laws, but the Federal law prohibits pot, so even a State licensed medical marijuana dispensary can be - and sometimes they are - raided by the feds and the stoners charged under Federal law.
