This guy is a thug and doesnt warrant the respect and love that everyone is giving him. ST's "ghost" hit the nail on the head 4 soldiers died in Iraq today for what many people call a useless war but they are the true heroes/heroins
Sean taylor led a thug life with all the crimes he committed and his terrible on field behavior can we PLEASE stop posting threads on this idiot about how he will be missed and how he was a "stand" up kind of guy

actually i was late to my KKK meeting because i was posting this question.
also the NFL is so trivial compared to everything else in life yes its very fun to watch and root for teams and get all hyped about it but its just a game-sean taylor is by no means a good person
his rap sheet is longer than my christmas wish list and he got what was coming for the past 4 years
ever since entering the NFL taylor has slowly gone down hill
its not a shame he was killed in his house for "no reason" there was a reason behind this murder his house was broken into 2 times in a little over a week there was definately a motive behind it and clearly his is no innocent bystandard in the act-guilty as charged the life he lead should be no surprise that he died the way he did

haha jordan to an extant everyone controls their own destiny sean taylor was gunned down in his own house because of his past there is much more behind this "robbery" story than meets the eye, his house was broken into 2 times in 10 days the first time a knife was left on his bed, the 2nd time phone cord was cut and 2 shots fired one hitting him and the "robber" left without harming anyone else or stealing anything sounds like there was motive behind that huh? and as for his character its not heresay everything he did is documented, the gun charges, the DUI as for his on field lpay he was fined because he playd like a dirtbag always late hitting spitting in peoples faces theres no place in the NFL for that behavior no tragedy involved in this situation only sad for his daughter to grow up with out a dad

Nobody is defending him. He made mistakes in life and maybe he did eventually pay for them with his life, only time will tell. BUT he has a one year old daughter. From what I have heard she really changed his outlook on life for the better. He said "people are counting on me now more than ever", in reference to his newborn daughter. I think you are the real THUG here! People have the right to live and people also have the right to respect and love whomever they choose. What sense is it to ridicule a dead man? And yes, our soldiers are heroes, that's the only good thing you said in all of this. I come from a military family. My mother, God rest her beautiful soul, was a Commander in the U.S. Navy and my father a Colonel in the Air Force. I'm not going to resort to your name calling but I think you should be really ashamed of yourself.

Ever make a mistake? I have!!! The guy didn't lead a very healthy life up until a year ago when his daughter was born. I'm not saying glorify the guy, but he was 24.
What you need to remember is many of your role models in life made really bad mistakes before finding their way. People can change and the media has stated his on the field and locker room behavior had improved. Therefore, the young man was trying to do the right thing once he realized he was accountable for someone else's life.
I'm sorry you don't realize this but growing up is about making really bad decisions and then overcoming them by acting like a father or a team leader.
Those men/women who died in Iraq today are real heroes/heroins. But, I don't care what his background was, it's always sad to see someone die at a young age from a shooting.

Regardless of your thoughts on Sean Taylor, the man died for no other reason than being in the wrong place at the wrong time. You wanna talk about Iraq being a pointless war? This mans death was pointless and you want to say his life isn't as significant as the soldiers overseas? How do you know if the soldiers overseas were not "thugs" before they joined the Army? Every persons life is worth the same as anyone else regardless of the individuals personality. I am ashamed of this question you've asked and quite frankly so should you....

How dare you make accusations about a person that you do not know? Plain and simply, YOU DO NOT KNOW Sean Taylor. You cannot testify to his character if you've never even met him. In fact, many people would claim the contrary. His family, friends, and teammates have all said that after the birth of his child, Sean Taylor truly turned his life around.
Now, on the subject of your childish, immature, attention-craving rant:
1.) Nobody said Sean Taylor's death is more important than the death of US Servicemen and women. That was your incorrect interpretation of a tragic event. The reason it has received media attention is that more people in the United States are actively following the NFL than the Iraq War, thus making the news more relevant to the target audience.
2.) Like I said earlier, you don't know Sean Taylor so you cannot make any claims against his personal character. Its cowards like you who always try to tarnish the reputation of dead people.
3.) Regardless of whatever life you claim he lived, the fact remains: Sean Taylor was murdered. Its not like he got into a bar fight and was killed in the back alley. Sean Taylor was in his home with his girlfriend and daughter. An intruder shot him in the leg, piercing the femoral artery and causing massive amounts of blood loss. Sean Taylor died no more than 24 hours ago due to trauma sustained from a gunshot wound.
4.) As for "all the crimes he committed" Sean was charged with a DUI in 2004 and was accused of brandishing a firearm during a dispute over his property (it was stolen from him) in 2005. Two crimes?! SINNER! LOCK THEM AWAY! As for his "terrible on field behavior", what exactly are you speaking of? Sean Taylor as well as many other "hard hitters" (See: John Lynch) are more intensely scrutinized than other players and fines for late or excessive hitting are handed down much faster. I'm not saying that he never laid a late hit, but his on-field behavior is far from being considered "terrible" As many analysts have said over the years, Sean Taylor gets fined because his name is Sean Taylor.
In short: You are a despicable coward for tarnishing the reputation of a public figure that you do not know. The man is dead and only now have you gained the courage to throw your temper tantrum. I abhor people of your kind and I hope your future holds many "unfortunate" surprises for you. Coward!

My momma always told me if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say it!! Especially about someone who has passed away!!!
Did the Thug get in your face and beat the crap out of you or your family??? I don't think so!! Yes, he might have been tough on the field but that is what he was paid to do!! That's his job.
As for his life of crimes, I am sure he already paid for them or he would be in jail, not playing football!!
NO matter what he did today there is a father mourning the loss of his son, A daughter who will never have her father tuck her in at night, or not see her off on her first of of school, or walk her down the Aisle because someone decided to go into his house and take his life.

You are an Idiot!!! Have some respect. You talk about four soldiers dying, talk **** about some you don't know, do you know how many soldiers every week sexually assault people, not to mention beat up their girlfriends/wives? I am against the war, and have respect for all the lost ones, but just like you say ST is a bad guy i am sure several lost soldiers were not exactly angels either. Have respect for his family and him

although you do have a point, as Marc Antony said,
"The evil that men do lives after them,
The good is oft interred with their bones"
let us not remember Sean as a man with a troubled past, let us remember him as a man with a young daughter and wife, with a bright future. And it does seem as if he was trying to turn his life around. HOWEVER he does not deserve more tears shed than the thousands of soldiers who die protecting our freedom and our way of life in wars around the world, and also police and fire men and women who put their lives on th line every day.
RIP Sean Taylor 21
AND
RIP the countless soldiers, policemen, firemen, and other servicemen and women who give their lives protecting us every day.

Funny. You just posted about him.
Sean Taylor, as are all people, was more complex than "just a thug." The fact is that he had a family and was a human being. The fact is, also, that he was turning his life around. Labeling him a thug and generalizing about him, though you are right about his hijinxs, is no worse than if I assumed you are an insensitive, ignorant prick just because you wrote this question.
