Some interesting answers so far.!
If you feel you are cheating then, I think it must be true otherwise you wouldn't feel that way. However, some things happen that are not meant to but, feel right.

If the sender is your partner, then ask her/him about it. If they are defensive and overreactive to it then it would seem that they may have something to hide, or at least they have emotions regarding the email that they do not wish to share with you.

Honesty is the best way. Ask about it. Tell them how you feel. Tell them that you are fine with it as long as there arent any secrets.

The bottom line is how you feel about it. Cheating can come in so many different forms, physical, emotional...

Just dont let it build up in you. Do something before it becomes something that could destroy a relationship.

Good Luck!

It depends. What is the nature of the emails? Deep, emotional or sexual content? or just passing the time of day?

A good rule of thumb is that it is not a good sign if either of you is doing something you don't want to let the other one know about.

Emailing is no different than talking.
If you are talking/emailing provocative things then it's likely to cross that fine line between flirting and cheating.

As most have stated it depends on the content of the emails. If you are deliberately keeping the relationship from your partner, it seems to be bordering on cheating.

It depends on what is being said in the email. But I would still let my partner know. If its innocent, then there is nothing to hide. You have to kind of think what if the shoe was on the other foot.

If it's being hidden there's a reason. People hide things when they know they're doing something wrong. Do a Yahoo search on "emotional affair".

how can someone be cheating if they never actually touched? Sometime people just need to feel good about themselves and for some that might come from E-mailing

cheating is not just about physical contact, if you hide it, then it is being unfaithful to the one you are suppose to love and respect
