Well here we are facing what could be a simple banal endorsement. Yet one can't help but wonder, what are the real reasons behind it all? I will say that if was a different color candidate the issue would be raised. After all everybody is saying Bill supports Hillary simply because she is his wife regardless. How about Oprah supports Obama just because he is black? Or maybe just because Obama knows that the majority of women would vote for a woman? Do you smell any "conspiracy" here (note conspiracy is in quotes thank you) is it a true political endorsement or just a political tactic? Your thoughts. Thank you.

Where has she been for the past 30 years. A black candidate is running and suddenly she is going to campaign for him. She is only doing this because he is black. Is she trying to buy him the white house?

Race probably has something to do with her endorsement, but it is probably just a coincidence. If Obama was white and Oprah endorsed her, no one would think anything of it. Or maybe Oprah just doesn't like Hilary, and, like you said, it could just be a poltical strategy to get some of the woman vote to Obama. Whatever the case there is no "conspiracy", just good old politics.

I think Oprah honestly likes Obama (he is after all her Illinois senator) and is trying to help; she brings plenty of star power and potential donor money.
Unfortunately those are two things that Obama DOESN'T lack as he's almost tied for the lead in fundraising and draws HUGE crowds wherever he goes.
They (Oprah and Obama) are hoping that she'll bring in some of the female and (ironically) the black vote, both of which are currently in Hillary Clinton's corner.

As far as any political aspirations, Oprah has already said she is not interested in serving in gov't.
Looking at her status and wealth portfolio, why would she bother?

If Oprah wasn't a resident of Illinois then it could be Vice President Oprah. She would probably be a major advice giver if he won.

Of course if Obama won then the Black guilt crowd would have nothing more to cry about.

Is it real, or just entertainment?
Since the electoral college can vote the opposite of the populous vote, does our voting in the presidential race really make a difference.
I know in the other political races people make a difference, but with the electoral college having the last say, does it really matter.
I will vote anyway, but I definitely feel like my vote don't count in a presidential election.
Besides, Obama is just an entertainer, and it is not surprising to see something like this happen. I just hope the American people can see past propaganda like this.

Its funny to hear all these people saying that America is color blind, color does not play a role in the election, etc

But guess who is the favorite of Oprah: Obama. Hmmm....

i could actual place my bets on Michele. effective, Oprah has her presence simply by fact of her television-stimulated celeb status, yet i'm effective that Michele has her very own charm and charm which will artwork in her want. in the worst case, we could in all threat have a 50-50 vote cut up, yet I doubt that Oprah can charm to a greater sensible crowd that Michele can.

Your premise is completely false. Oprah may have given token support but she never fully endorsed J. Jackson when he ran.

No, it's a matter of choice and Oprah can vote for whoever she wants regardless of what people may think. If by chance it is race, which I don't believe, other people have voted based on race, gender, etc.
