I believe that God exists..I was raised in different churches, but none of them are the reason why I feel like there is a God. There was one moment when I was playing outside..around 5 years old and just realized that there was something Bigger then me and all the people around me and all our beliefs put together. I realized that something has to control the world and if something has the power to control it has the power to think and love and respond even if it has really no dealings with your life whatsoever. I believe in a personal God, and a God that doesnt give a damn, and a God that can be hurt because he sees you screwing up, and a God that can rejoice because he sees you doing right. Also a God that understands that your not some stupid dumb *** and you can take care of yourself in the world, but will help if you need it.

It is important to not the differences between two uses of the word believe. You can believe "in" and believe "that." For example most Americans (myself included) believe "that" George Bush is the President of our country. However most also do not believe "in" Bush as President of our country for diverse reasons. To relate this your question I would say that belief that God exists is really irrelevant. What matters is if you believe "in" God. The position of the agnostic can not be present in the believe "in" only the believe "that." Everyone either believes in God or does not whether they are agnostic, atheists, anti-theistic, etc. By the way I do believe in God, which would necessiate my belief in his existence.

im not sure what to believe. It is insane to believe that there is some figure out there, watching you, helping you, listening to you. but wait, he's supposedly listening to your friend too, and your mom, and dad, and sister, and the whole rest of the world. and he cares about everyone. how can this be? well, becasue he is god, right? that puts us back at square one, yes? is there a god out there? we will never know really. im not to serious about the issue so ill let others debate it for me.
also, i am not religious. i was raised in a family who decided to let my choose my religion. i choose science.

Yes, I do believe that God exists.
I do not belong to any Faith, but that does not mean that any of them are wrong. I list myself as 'Spiritual'. I believe that all paths lead to God. Not just my path, but all paths.

I used to believe in God... but then I found atheism.
I used to be an atheist, but then things got complicated.
You see, the more I searched for God in science, the more remote I found the possibility of his existence. There are 400 billion stars in the galaxy, and 100 billion galaxies in the universe. I had a hard time believing that the universe, in all of its size, was created for us. On a cosmic scale, calling Earth a fleck of dust would be generous.
But science has also shown me that there is no purpose in nature. Without purpose, the only thing left for me to do is, well, die. Commit myself to nonexistence.
Thus, if I could not find purpose in life, then purpose ought to be created. Which brings me to my definition of God.
God is the purpose of one's life. God does not exist in the sense that he created men. God is a concept, as epheremal as a daydream. God is what you want him to be.
But I reject the God of the Christians for reasons perfectly highlighted in this quote:
"Do you believe in God, Andrei?"
"No."
"Neither do I. But that's a favorite question of mine. An upside-down question, you know."
"What do you mean?"
"Well, if I asked people whether they believed in life, they'd never understand what I meant. It's a bad question. It means nothing. It can mean so much that it really means nothing. So I ask them if they believe in God. And if they say they do--then, I know they don't believe in life."
"Why?"
"Because, you see, God--whatever anyone chooses to call God--is his highest conception of the highest possible. And whoever places his highest conception over his own possibility thinks very little of himself and his life. It's a rare gift, you know, to feel reverence for your life and to want the best, the very greatest, the highest possible, here, now, for your very own. To imagine a heaven and then not to dream of it, but to demand it."
-Ayn Rand, "We the Living"
I create my own purpose in life. God is my happiness and ambition. So yes, I do believe that God exists. Reality be damned; if I die and existence ends, or if I die and am sent to heaven, they are irrelevent to me, I have a life to live.

I'm agnostic, I think that any attempt to "prove" god's existance or non-existance is merely people trying to justify their own biases.
