Yes, but if you are planning on making any money, do some research. Etsy.com is a great place to sell handmade items. What are you making? Have you been to any local craft fairs to see what people are making, and more importantly, selling? I see tons of crocheted items, but not many being bought....

In my experience, I would have to ask if you have the stamina. I love to crochet, am obsessed with it, but it takes a lot of work to make enough to sell it. It's a very good feeling when you sell something, but finding the right people who are willing to pay what the item is worth (not just materials, but time as well) can be difficult. There are people out there who love homemade items. If you can find them, go for it!

Selling your items depends on more than just wanting too.
First you must have quality work. There must be a demand for what you make. No market, no sales.
You must use quality products and have a sales avenue.
This is why I created my site Knitting n Crochet for Profit, to help people find a way to earn from their crafts.
It is possible and can be fun, but than it also can be stressful and discouraging to some.
Do your home work to be successful.

You should sell things if they are your own design. You're not allowed to sell things made from published patterns. better yet, sell your patterns, because crochet is another one of those things where people like to do it, but don't really care about buying the finished product.

I personally didn't have much success with this. Either I couldn't sell or couldn't make fast enough--both were frustrating. I also had a hard time getting decent pictures for online, which hurt my sales to start with. I would suggest trying to sell locally if you go with it--people tend to buy more often and pay more for items they can see and touch.
Good luck.

yes! Put flyers up about 3 days before you sell to make sure everyone know about it! That is truly a great idea!

What are you making? It really depends on what you have to offer.
