Soon, my friend, soon.

Now on to JimBob. First, I don't think anyone in the Cubs organization acknowledges the Billy Goat Curse or brings up Steve Bartman. And most true Cubs fans don't believe in the Billy Goat Curse and stopped talking about Bartman years ago. The people who keep on bringing them up are people who hate the Cubs, like yourself, and the media. As you should know, the media needs a story. Just losing for 99 years in a row is not good enough. They need to tell you that the Cubs lose because of a goat curse and they need to tell you that the Cubs lose because of some kid named Bartman. What they don't tell you is the story of all the bad moves made by management over the years such as trading Lou Brock and letting Greg Maddux walk away just to name two. And when discussing Bartman, they don't mention the dozen fans around Bartman who were also reaching for the ball. They don't mention the fact that the ball was over the stands and not the field. They don't mention that if Alou wasn't old and his legs were not bad he, or any younger fielder with better legs, could have probably jumped higher and caught the ball. And they don't mention how a few minutes later Alex Gonzalez couldn't field a routine grounder and turn a double play, keeping the inning alive and opening the flood gates for an infamous 8 run inning. Nope, they rather would tell you about a goat and a kid with headphones and a sweatshirt.

And you cannot tell me that the Cubs are the only team in the majors that argues with the umpires on a close call. And I do not remember DLee making an Alou-esque scene during this year's playoffs.

And who is talking about the Cubs coming back from a 3-0 hole? The "humble" 2004 Red Sox are the only team that has ever done it in the history of the sport, so how are you going to bash the Cubs and say you don't think they will show up for the theoretical Game 4 when NO OTHER TEAM HAS DONE IT IN MAJOR LEAGUE HISTORY!!! And I'm sure the "humble" Red Sox would never argue a call either.

When they stop blaming Billy goats and Bartman!

Anytime I see a Cubs player fussing about an on the field call I think they are the most immature team in MLB! I can't remember but their was a call in this years playoffs that illustrated this point perfectly! I think it was D. Lee regarding a close play at first against Arizona. He went jumping around the in-field (Alou in leftfield anyone!?)

The Red Sox had a humble "idiots" attitude and that allowed them to overcome a terrible start to the Yankees in the 2004 ALCS.

I see nothing that suggests that a Cubs team down 0-3 would even show up for a game 4!

I am starting to get tired of this question, I don't think the Chicago Cubs wil lever get back to or even win the World Series, it seems to me that the chances of the Chicago Cubs getting to win the World Series, is like Charlie Brown kicking the football, that Lucy is holding, and she tricks him into kicking the ball, and promises him that she wouldn't move the ball. But she always does. So more or less slim and none. The Chicago Cubs will never get back to the World Series, nor will they ever will win it.

The Cubs will be in the world series the day that Elton John decides to turn straight.

Probably never at this rate. They haven't won in 99 years and haven't been to a world series since 45 the year of the goat curse.

The Mayans and Nostradamus have both predicted that the world will end on December 21, 2012, with the winter solstice, so it doesn't bode well for the baby bears!

Check back in another 100 years.
Or
When they get some players with some class and talent.

Your best bet is the 100 year cause it doesnt look like the latter will happen anytime soon.

Next year in 2008.
Maybe they don't have the greatest players but look at this past years team. no one good has left the team. If we can make it this year with these players, we can make it next year with these players. and i have a good feeling about next year
