I'm with you on that. The kid has stepped up every time he's moved up a level. He was not out of place on Team Canada at last years World Championships. He had played collegiate hockey last year and then bang he's playing with Doan and Nash and he didn't seem to be intimidated or dazzled by it at all. He actually produced.
I think in the long run Toews will be the better player.

Toews is the more skilled player at this point in time.
It's funny somebody mentioned the ice time because right now, Toews averages more than Kane and the two of them rank 1-2 in ice time among Chicago's forwards.

Savard likes a lot more things about Toews than he does about Kane at this point in time, but he expects Kane to be a fast learner.
Neither player is getting pushed around a lot, that was a concern some uneducated hockey fans had about Kane. Kane still has to work on controlling the puck....he leads all NHL forwards in giveaways. He is getting better game in and game out.
One of Savard's concerns is stamina. Kane played in the OHL and including playoff games (16) and pre-season (7) last year, he played 81 games. Toews played a grand total of 54 (granted 10 of those came as a quasi-NHL player at the Worlds in April).
I seem to be in the minority here, but I think that Toews will have the better career. Either way, thay make my team a better team for the next 6 years (barring injury)

I believe that Kane has a brighter future than Toews. He is a play-maker, and the fact that he has more points and ice-time shows that the managers of the Blackhawks believe that he has more potential than Toews. Also, Kane is an easier name to pronounce for Americans, so the general public will probably like him more.

both are great young players, Toews is a better goalscorer but Kane will get more points because of a better all round attacking game
so i'd choose Kane

I got a very biased opinion because I have Toews on my fantasy team.

I think Toews. He seems better at this point and when all other things seem equal, go with the Canadian.

The really scary thing is that, unlike us, the Blackhawks don't have to choose.
At this point I like Kane, but you always have to be wary of that second-season letdown that some players experience.
