Nature Lover is correct. It's 42 because Grover Cleveland served two non-consecutive terms which means there was 43 presidencies but only 42 men have served as president.

It has to 42 Because Grover Cleavland skipping a term then getting reelected.
As far as Harrison is concerned, he died in April, which means he was the president for about a month due to the fact that inauguration was in March back then.

You could count John Hancock as president, he was before they ratified the current constitution. You could count David Rice Atchison, who was technically president for a day. Don't count Grover Cleveland twice though.
