Of course - except the 2nd ammendment. All the rest of those damn rights just get in the way of them doing what is best for us.

The Constitution the ACLU (American Communist Lawyers Union) defends bears no resemblance to the Constitution I know.
The ACLU states that the enemies held at Gitmo have been denied their "right" to habeas corpus.
The Constitution Article I Section 9 reads: (second parapgraph)
The privilege of the writ of habeas corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in cases of rebellion or invasion the public safety may require it.
Amendment V has a very clear exception within.
No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.
With "defenders" such as the ACLU, who needs enemies?
“I have been to Europe several times, mostly in connection with international radical activities…and have traveled in the United States to areas of conflict over workers rights to strike and organize. My chief aversion is the system of greed, private profit, privilege and violence which makes up the control of the world today, and which has brought it to the tragic crisis of unprecedented hunger and unemployment…Therefore, I am for Socialism, disarmament and ultimately, for the abolishing of the State itself…I seek the social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class and sole control of those who produce wealth. Communism is the goal”.”
Roger Baldwin co-founder ACLU.
“Do steer away from making it look like a Socialist enterprise…We want also to look like patriots in everything we do. We want to get a good lot of flags, talk a good deal about the Constitution and what our forefathers wanted to make of this country, and to show that we are really the folks that really stand for the spirit of our institutions.”-Baldwin’s advice in 1917 to Louis Lochner of the socialist People’s Council in Minnesota.
The ACLU does not defend the Constitution; they cheapen it!

Don't be ridiculous.
The ACLU started out for good of the people.
Now, it is corrupt and promotes frivolous lawsuits.
Conservatives do support the Constitution.

first of all I m a conservative and I dont hate gays.
But I do believe that marriage should be between
a man and woman.
If you wanna be gay then go ahead. But dont involve
marriage.
I think ACLU is a pointless group and a bunch of hypocrites.
how come they werent the first ones protecting that radio
host person that said Nappy headed hoes.
even though I think wat he said was stupid, but like you said.... ACLU protects the rite of speech. I didnt see ACLU
defending him.
How about those people that want to use the rite of arms to
protect themselves. I dont see ACLU backing those people up.
Thats why as a conservative I think ACLU are abunch of pointless hypocrites.
God Bless America!!!!!

The constitution allows us to say what ever we want but whatever we say people have a right to judge others by these comments and these views. So it is perfectly fine to me as an American if right wingers rant against gays and what ever else they do not like no one can tell them how to think.

Kons hate the ACLU because it tries to prevent them from consolidating the neo-fascist oligarchy they have been working towards ever since they placed the greatest traitor in history, Ronald Reagan, into the White House.

Not at all... your stated premise is in error... The ACLU does *NOT* protect the Constitution from anything at all.. They twist it's meaning to their own ends and their prime effort is to render it useless. They were founded by Communist and continue Leftist efforts to subvert this Nation.

The NRA protects our rights as well, yet liberals hate the NRA. Are you saying the KKK is more important than the NRA?
And as for conservatives hating women, I'm conservative and a female, does that mean I hate myself?

The ACLU protects liberals and liberals only..they need to be taxed..like all Lawyers need to be taxed...The Klan is nothing today...find a reason for lawyers to interject themselves in free speech issues for conservatives as well and you'll have a reasoned statement ...right now all you have is a quest for validation of scumbag lawyers intruding into places they do not belong...Have a Merry Christmas
