Riding in my Dad's car in the summer of 1969 or 70 heading to the ball park to play little league baseball. Sittin' in the front seat, playing with the radio knobs, and I'm hearing "Spinning Wheel" for the first time, and the tempo and feeling of that particular song is really capturing the childhood excitement and anticipation for me. And that brief memory always comes back.
The car, btw, was an ugly ol' 1958 brown Chevy station wagon! But great for the drive-in! I used to like to jump in the very back and roll around during the turns while Mom was driving! (Dad would've never allowed it...)
