Is Annapolis purely a George Bush event, which everybody else comes merely to provide a background, in face of Bush's present and future fiascos in Iraq and Iran?

There is no talking about the core issues, nor a timetable for the next stages after the conference, and it is not sure who would come and for what purpose, other than to be photographed. Is the aim of getting photographed worthy of making of so much fuss?

There is so much disastrous between the Israeli and Palestinian bridegrooms and brides, that even small differences would loom large. And if the worst happens and there will be no agreement achieved, what then? We already have bitter experiences of earlier occasions.

It is the only meeting organized by the U.S. to find a solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in which the Arab League is present. And we have been hosting such meetings since 1979. Give it some time and see what results might come from it.
However, I will agree that past efforts have produced bitter experiences. I can still recall the signing ceremony on the White House lawn which featured President Clinton, Yasser Arafat, and Israeli Prime Minister Yitzak Shamir. A lot of congratulations all around for the Oslo Accord. The only notable absence was any representative from the government of Norway. The nation whose Foreign Minister had brokered the deal.

Well, you figure June, he is the one leading this event. You have understand that this meeting just started and it will continue in December. More talks are on the way regarding Israelis and the Palestinians. I just think that this will not work with trying to get the Palestinians to live side-by-side with Jews, when the radical Islamists all want is to destroy Israel.

Is there peace now with giving up Gaza? No. Are Palestinians still firing off rockets into Jewish communities as we speak and as the Annapolis meeting is going on? Yes. Does Hamas (terrorist group) want to take over ALL off the West Bank and want to lead the Palestinian people? Yes. Does Hamas want to destroy Israel and America? Yes.

So, there you have it. There will NEVER be peace between the two because the radical Islamists will not have peace and they don't give a hoot about human life. It will not happen unless the TERRORISTS are destroyed, PERIOD.

This is George trying to create some kind of a legacy before he gets dethroned. It appears he has turned his back on Israel in favor of pleasing the Palestinians, Arabs, Muslims. We are told in the scriptures we are to pray for Israel and those that do will be blessed and those that curse her will be cursed. You are messing with God's chosen people, the US has supported her and the US has been a blessed country. I believe as George turns his back on Israel the US will pay a severe penalty. We are told in the scriptures when we hear them saying Peace Peace we are told to be aware, the time of the Lord's return is fast approaching.

It is yet another attempt by the USA (dating back many Presidents) to convince the two sides to live in peace. The past ones all failed miserably so I suspect this one will too. That doesn't make the attempt any less valid then any of the ones in the past.
