Do you think this was strategic planning (for publicity) by Madge, or are the RSPCA just getting their knickers in a twist?

She dyed her sheep for a photo shoot.

As unlikable as Madonna has been since about 1990, I really don't see what the RSPCA is all worried about. Last time I checked, dye is not a means of torture nor abusive in any way, shape or form. Everything Madonna has done has always been about publicity, getting attention, reinventing herself, etc., so this would be no different. She is a much more skilled businesswoman than performer. My message to Madonna; nobody cares anymore.

EVERYTHING is "strategic planning for publicity" by Madge, it's what she does best and frankly does better than any other female musician I can think of, lol. Her business smarts (not solely her sexuality) are the reason why we were talking about her in 1984 and are still talking about her almost 25 years later....

A little bit of both I think. But I think the RSPCA is taking it too far by calling it "cruelty", like rckets said, in the context of something that is deemed as torture. Dye washes off for crying out loud! And even if it's permanent, you sheer the damn wool off and knit some multi-colored booties or something
