My husband and I were replacing the fixture in our dining room, and when we started to attatch the mounting bracket, we found that the screw hole on the electrical box was stripped. I'm guessing the only way to fix that is to replace the entire box, but we don't want to tear up the ceiling. Any suggestions?

Tap the box for a larger screw. It happens sometimes.

You can use a larger selftapping screw.
