94 Seca 2
Idler gear is stripped (gear that starter connects to)
Removed the clutch cover and cant even see how to get to it??
will it even come out this side?

I want to do this myself as I've heard it costs an arm and a leg to have pretty much anyone do it.

I've never done any motor work on a Seca.
So I'll have to guess that the clutch has to be removed to get to the idler gear.
Suzukis are like that.
When in doubt, check it out.
You shouldn't be working on your bike without a shop manual.

I had to do this on my 03 Yamaha 660 Rapter. It is easy to do, but I had a manual. The whole right side engine cover had to come off and it is behind the stator. Be careful to put everything back the way it was.

You can see exploded diagrams of the starter clutch here:

But take Guardrailjim's advice, get a manual.

Even after working on hundreds of different bikes, I still have a manual for every one of the models I work on - sure there's tons of similarities, but it's those minor differences that'll mess you up and cost you money!
