In ref to the (hidden) pro-war agenda article: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071127/ap_on_re_us/us_iraq_poll

And you think it's simply a coincidence that Yahoo hasn't been posting news about deaths, casualties, or negative events in Iraq anymore? What kind of effect does pro-war propaganda in the pro-war media have on many Americans, especially at this time of the year when most people could care less about another dead Iraqi child killed in a bombing raid?

Look at the photo with the caption that reads: "Americans are growing increasingly optimistic about developments..." This is total trash because in surveys, it is not the question as much as how you ask it that can determine (and predetermine) responses. Did they even ask the question: Has the American military made the Middle East in countries like Iraq more secure? What about: Is the American military presence in Iraq helping or hurting the national economy in terms of oil prices and military expenditure?

Did the survey ask: Are the numbers of dead Iraqi civilians and U.S. military personnel justified in a war that does nothing to prevent an attack on U.S. soil? After all, how is the public going to support bombing Iran by maybe March if the government doesn't proclaim "success" in Iraq?

I am not American but I do think the the Americans are having a measure of success in Iraq. There is still a long way to go but with the continued support of our lads there, they could even get some sort of peace in a region where complete peace is impossible..

I'd like to. If Rummie had listened to the experts and recommended the Army's size be increased instead of sticking to the disastrous Clinton cuts, there might have been enough active duty troops and the Reserve system might not have been ruptured but, as it is, everyone knows that the Army is too small to continue the "surge" so I feel certain the Islamo-fascists are just biding their time now. Besides that, for real success, the Iraqi government has to start functioning and there are few signs that it will as each faction has visions of complete power and revenge against perceived enemies. At least it shows what could have been if the Bush, Clinton, and Bush administrations had not been so short sighted.

Unfortunately, many American soldiers have been brainwashed by the Bush Administration about the war in Iraq.
