1. have a similar meaning
2. have contradictory meanings

taking Present to mean Pre-sent as in you sent it before some event

and RESENT to mean Re-Sent meaning you sent the item a second time,

the words both deal with the same action but are not related in a sense of time to mean the same OR the opposite so my choice would be "3"
